Based on recordings taken at modern 2MW turbines, an audio synthesizer was developed to generate emission sound files with independent control of the relevant signal attributes spectrum, modulation and tonal components. For the simulation of the propagation effects from the source to a receiver, the stand-alone software module AURAPRO was developed. The software implements a set of digital filters that model all relevant propagation effect.
